Dhanteras in India

It's festive time and I'm sure all of you would be huddled up in places with your family, friends and relatives, all dressed up and ready to party. Today, Dhanteras is marked as a remarkably auspicious day. Houses and even offices are renovated and decorated. Entrances are decorated with beautiful Rangoli and flowers. This day is also a very auspicious day to buy gold. However, Dhanteras is not all about wealth. It's about bonding with your loved ones and spreading joy.

Obviously, there's gonna be a lot of food made on this day - both sweets and snacks. After all, what's a celebration without snacks? From Naivedhya to Lapsi, the food prepared by people from different parts of India vary. But the soul and the idea of the food remains the same.

Some of these festival snacks are deep fried too, and we all know that they're not really that healthy. But I won't be the person who tells you that you shouldn't eat your festival snacks. Have fun and go crazy on the sweets and snacks, people. But make sure that it's a one day thing. Eating festival food all the time could cause MAJOR health disorders but having it once in a while won't be harmful. This Diwali season, have fun with your family and friends. Stay safe and have fun gorging on that delicious food
