The Presence of various localities in the region makes Jharkhand cuisines a vivid experience. The Jharkhandi cuisine is traditional and a combination of various localities in Jharkhand Region Most of the Dishes of Jharkhand are traditional and some are adopted from a mixed culture of adjoining areas. Every season coming in the region brings a range of Food with itself. However, the Famous cuisines of Jharkhand, used in all the seasons are Rice, Roti, Daal, Tarkari and sweets, and much more. One of the most important and famous cuisines of Jharkhand is Litti & Chokha. One can also see a faint touch of food of the vigorous Mughals in some of the varieties of Jharkhand delicacies.

Some of the mouth-watering dishes from Jharkhand include:

Malpua- Literally, it means a dish made of dry fruits and lots of milk. A deshi pancake which can be a  synonym to the festival Holi of the state, not a single household misses this dish out. Colours and Malpua always go together. Soaked in sugar syrup this sweet has a great aroma.

Metha Khaza- Jharkhandi has a fascination for dessert as it’s obvious that there are a lot of sweet dishes that they love to have. But this dish has a special assertion as it stands apart amongst all other desserts- Halwa, Kheer, Gujia. This special Jharkhand food decorates the basket of any greeting in the family.

Litti Chokha-It's a very famous Jharkhand cuisine. People generally prefer eating the roasted litti than the fried one because of the reason that one enjoys the warmth of the family along with the fire. The best part of this dish is that it is oil-free and not too spicy. Therefore a healthy food. 

Pitha- A special dish of Makar Sankranti, It is stuffed by- the famous Aloo ka chokha of Jharkhand, different varieties of boiled Dals Khoa or thickened milk. The structure of the pitha makes it more attractive. 

Phutka-A must mushroom from Jharkhand. A type of mushroom that is found only during the monsoons. It is said to be a special state cuisine due to its seasonal and peculiar growth. If cooked well with proper ingredients this dish is a treat to the taste buds.
