Fit India Movement

Fit India Movement is a nation-wide movement in India to encourage people to remain healthy and fit by including physical activities and sports in their daily lives.

It was launched by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji at Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi on 29 August 2019 (National Sports Day). But this movement Fit India was started long back and was founded by Shri Suparno Satpathy in year 1993 and it was incorporated as a company in year 2000. There's a specific committee formed to advice the government and it consiste of various reputed officials and well known members of Indian Olympic Association(IOA), National sports federations and private bodies and most importantly fitness promoters. Funds can be requested as per guidelines to procure fitness items for children of government schools. After the purchase of equipments its mandatory to record the working condition. And the schools are also allowed to have their traditional and regional games for the students interested.

One of the most important decision was for the Private schools that they will be ranked according to the fitness i.e Fit India Grading for schools. So after the eligible schools apply and get the confirmation from the government they are allowed to use the Fit India Logo and Flag.

Few of the Institutions and Individuals are Confederation of Indian Industries(CII), Reliance Foundation, JSW Cement and JSW Paints, SE TransStadia Pvt. Ltd., Tata Trust, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), government institutions like Ministry Of Defence, Sainik School Society along with Jaiganesh actors Shilpa Shetty and Milind Soman etc. On 6th September 2019,the 17th and the current Lok Sabha speaker Shree Omprakash Krishna Birla conducted a Fit India session in the parliament complex and invited upon all MPs to pursue the movement in their constituencies.

hey! foodie is also doing the same kinda initiative where students get inculcated with healthy eating habits and learnt the value of it in day-to-day life. Food and fitness are interlinked because it makes or breaks our day. To stay healthy and fit we should include fruits and berries like Apple, Banana, Avacados, Oranges, Strawberries etc, and vegetables like Broccoli, Carrots, Cucumber, Garlic, Cauliflower etc. Meat eaters can have eggs, chicken breasts, fishes, beef etc. but vegetarian food is considered to be best. We should have diary products as they also helps us to healthy. Some Grains are a must have food for humans as it increases the nutritional value like brown rice, oats etc.
