Healthy Chat Show with Mrs. Jayshree Nair


Mrs. Jayshree Nair is the principal of Brighton International school. She is an alumni of regional institute of education, Bhopal. Working in the capacity of principal for last 13 years and also 30 years of experience in the field of education. She a postgraduate in English, economics, education and management.

She believes that covid break is the time children shouldn’t waste. Children should get into online courses and inculcate writing habits or else they may face difficulties ones the school reopens. So she suggests children to take up online courses which can enhance their skill set. Apart from this she believes this is the best time to spend time with parents and help their mothers. Along with all this she also suggests students to enhance their hobbies.

According to Mrs. Jayshree Nair healthy life style means to be active and to be on the feet. She feels that children are very chronic to obesity which is because of the eating habits. She suggests children to do exercise, avoid junk food and to drink good amount of water. According to her the best thing one can do to maintain their health is by eating home-made food prepared by mother.

She also believes that been healthy is not just for a particular time period, been healthy is a life style that everyone should adopt and it should carried out throughout life. She suggested children to do Zumba and mediate for sometimes which will help them to get fit.

Talking about the technology and online classes she shared that at beginning it was difficult for teachers to adopt it, but now even teachers are used to the situation and enjoy teaching online.

She suggested everyone to have three times meals which can include vitamin C content food, salad, dal and fresh fruits.

She believes that the mental health of a person is linked with the food taken by him/her. She came up with the situation related to it and explained that most of the children skip breakfast, which will decrease their concentration level in the class. She also quoted that mind is the result of the food that we eat.

Talking about the new education policy she says that education should be more about creative and the new education policy will help children learn conceptual bases. She feels that conceptual learning is more important than completing the syllabus.

At the end of the show she asked the younger generation to respect their parents, believe in them, have faith in teachers and with all these one can do good in life.
