Food Review of Madrasi Hotel Jamshedpur

Madrasi sammelani has a venerable past. Tata's can track its history back to the date of the founding of the giant steel works in 1907. There were two or three groups formed by the earlier settler, each group concentrating one avocation or other like, bhajans and religious functions, library activities, education of children, game like football or badminton. They started this hotel for the people who loves South Indian dishes.

As this Jampot is known for its South Indian food and a South Indian restaurant will never go unnoticed. Madrasi is another in the list of favorites for Jamshedpurians. This restaurant is simple , pocket friendly and witnesses footfalls throughout. I felt the place has a standing line to enter throughout the day. The amazing part was half of the servers already knew the table orders and they are regular to the place.
Fast Service & Fast Orders at it's best. The restaurant is located in the heart of the city. Predictably, there's no parking around it. Like a typical SI eating joint, the interiors are basic & the ambiance is one of efficiency.

A must try dishes which I would suggest will be Appalam, Buttermilk, Idli, Onion Masala Dosa, Onion Uthapam, Papad, &Rasam.

All the dishes were tasty. Service was quick & our server was quite friendly. We could sense the place was extremely popular as it continuously had an inflow & outflow of patrons. This is a very old restaurant in Bistupur. However it has a new look now after renovation.
Authentic South Indian dishes are served here at affordable price.
Nice clean place for a quick bite or a simple South Indian meal with delicious coffee.
The hotel is very old, but retains its charm and food quality. The food served is pure vegetarian. Culture is still maintained. Located in the city, Madrasi Hotel at Bistupur is one of the oldest (over 80 years old) and preferred destination. It has maintained its reputation of being of one of the best restaurants for South Indian meals and wide varieties of mouth watering snacks n the city. We had traditional Butter Onion Dosa with hot Sambar and Coconut chutney. There are plenty of options in the menu including Vegetarian Thali during lunch to choose from.
