Palak paneer, palak paratha, palak pakoda…our mouth starts watering the moment these names appear in front of us. Well with winters in full bloom why not take advantage of it and go for something which is season friendly and serves our taste buds in our way. In the list of winter foods, palak is one amongst the list.
Spinach or palak as known commonly is said to be the richest source of iron, one of the most important nutrient required by our body for the proper function of hemoglobin and other important body processes.
Along with iron, spinach is loaded with proteins, minerals, and fibers, it helps in improving bone health, prevents cancer and much more. It is a no-fuss vegetable as far as cooking it, is concerned and can be prepared in combinations.
Important food as green vegetable for children during their growing years and formative stage as it helps in bone building, improves eyesight. They should be made to understand the significance of eating foods as per the season and its positive effects on our body.  By doing so they will realize the importance of seasonal fruits and vegetables and how consuming them at right times can prove beneficial and in doing so we will pave a way for healthy future generation.
Because having understood its importance definitely they will want more of it, this in turn will increase the green revolution and will help our farmers and mother nature.
