GLIMPSES
2019- INDIA
As we bid adieu to the year 2019 and
welcome 2020. Let us go back to the memories this year gave us, some were good
while some were not so acceptable. We begin our journey
with the starting of the year January 2019, where we saw banks mergers and
achieving one more feather in our cap by Arunima Sinha to become the first Indian woman
amputee to scale Mount Vinson.
The month of February
gave us some mixed results of the Pulwama attack on 14th February
along with the Assam alcohol poisoning case in Jorhat and Golaghat districts
and date to be noted in Indian history of Balakot strike on 26th February
2019. March made India 4th nation to have an anti-satellite
missile.
April began with voting
for 2019 general elections. This month also started with the launch of an important initiative hey!foodie of making Healthy India by RISHAANAND B.U.D.D.Y. May brought some devastating effects with cyclone
Fani, arriving on the coast of Odisha and the month ended with a winning note
for Shri. Narendra Modi.
Nothing specific in
June, whereas July had some important events like Vidisha Baliyan becomes first
Indian to be crowned as Miss Deaf World, ISRO launched Chandrayan-2, along with
ban on triple talaq.
August had some notable
points in the Indian constitution with Article 370 & Article 35A revoked and
J&K and Ladakh bifurcated as separate Union Territories. Floods made lives
in Maharashtra come to a standstill and former Finance
Minister Chidambaram was arrested on 22nd August 2019.
In September we
witnessed, Chandrayaan-2 partially successful and Howdy Modi- colorful and
heart-warming event rally in NRG stadium- Houston, Texas by Modiji and Donald
Trump.
The month of October
2019 J&K and Ladakh as separate Union Territories came into effect. November
2019, The Indian Supreme court made an important and fair decision on Ayodhya
case and month ended with a dreadful Hyderabad gang rape case.
December
began with quick results on the Hyderabad rape case. India witnessed solar
eclipse on the 26th of December 2019. So that
was the end of the year 2019 journey. Awaiting 2020 and expecting that New Year
will fill everyone’s life with happiness and love in India and all over.
