food review from the customers of Cinnamon restaurant in jamshedpur

 

Location : Cinnamon restaurant is located in the ground floor of The Sonnet hotel at Inner circle road, Bistupur, Jamshedpur.

The Sonnet houses 2 eateries: Equinox and cinnamon, which are among the best restaurants in the city, catering to corporate guests, athletes, business honchos from across the world.
Ambience : The decor is nice with low ceiling . The ambience is simple and elegant.
Food: The place serves good breakfast and lunch buffets on all days.
The Lunch buffets are lavish with a wide choice of starters, salads, mains and desserts.
After the soup, the starters follow.The starters include 4- 5 items including veg and non veg options.
The salad counter is good with fresh veggies, pasta etc.
The main course is curated with a mix of Indian and oriental dishes.
There are ample choices of veg dishes and 2-3 Non veg items in the main course.
Every dish is flavourful and pleasing.
We are non veg lovers, absolutely love some of their veg dishes. Kaali daal, exotic veggies, veg haka noodles, veg mousaka are to name a few.
The mutton biriyani, Hunan fish are equally delightful.
They have a live pasta counter too.
The dessert section serves delightful sweets from desi payasam, fruit halwa to the fancy chocolate and strawberry tartes, beside regular Ice creams.
Buffet rate of approximately 600INR(including tax) is pretty reasonable for the quality of food they serve.

I am a regular to this place ..sunday buffet is a treat ..but was really disappointed with the service. There were 5 waiters and 2 managers present but no one seemed to be bothered. they were busy chatting to themselves..and no one looked at the tables ..we sat for 20 mins and then had to ask for the starters only to be told it will take sometime. Someone could have told us that they were not ready at 1pm for lunch when we walked in..each time had to ask for water ..napkin ..and even for repeats ..really frustrating..with so many choices now a days ..really you people need to perk up ...

Very High priced resturant but Food served does not live up to the standards of what it used to be. Ordered my regular corainder/Green chicken. Tasted bland ...Looked non appealing...I have posted two pics of the same dish which I had about 6months back and now recently...One can clearly make out the difference between the green gravy of corainder chicken on the plate and the regular soy gravy served in the bowl.Why should a patron be made to pay for a dish whose colour/consistency/taste changes with time.

The dessert is very tasty. too much sugar but you can cross your diet for one day haha. Service is very fast also.

So there are mixed reviews for this restaurant but a must try place in jamshedpur.
