Winter Is Here
It's November and officially winter. The season of blankets, hot chocolate, snuggles and Christmas movies. It is always festive this time of the year and there are always holidays around the corner. With all the holidays we have, it is very easy to get eat whatever you want to. Apart from not being fit, it can also bring a lot of health problems. Given below are a few food items we can eat to help us during winter.
Since local products may not be available during winter. So, we can have root vegetables as an alternative as they can withstand cold. These root vegetables like carrots, turnips and beetroots are also extremely healthy and are a rich source of Vitamins C and A. Oatmeal also proves to be really helpful as it is rich in zinc and soluble fibre. Soup is already a typical winter food. Drinking a warm bowl of soup while sitting on the couch, cuddled up with your family is the most perfect way to spend your winter. Soup warms the body AND the soul. Finally, broccoli and cauliflower are most needed during winter as they are high in vitamin C and regulates the proper function of your immune system.
