You have heard about this diet from celebrities and often thought of following it also . Yes, today I'm going to talk about a popular diet that is the "KETOGENIC DIET".

 what is a ketogenic diet?
“Ketogenic” is a term for a low-carb diet (like the Atkins diet). The idea is for you to get more calories from protein and fat and less from carbohydrates. You cut back most on the carbs that are easy to digest, like sugar, soda, pastries, and white bread.
A keto diet is well known for being a low carb diet, where the body produces ketones in the liver to be used as energy. It’s referred to as many different names such as ketogenic diet, low carb diet, low carb high fat.

What are the benefits of following keto diet?
• It helps on weight loss as keto diet cuts off carbohydrates.
• Low consumption of carbohydrates results in reduction of blood sugar and insulin .
• Following keto diet will improve your heart health problems.
• we all face this common skin problems acne , keto diet also helps in treating acne.

Drawback of keto diet -:
• carbohydrates is something that keeps you going ,cutting off carbs can result in less energy and irritable nature.
• If you are a beginner on following a keto diet you will lose weight faster .
• keto diet can put pressure on your kidneys and that give you kidney stones.
• As carbohydrates are absent in keto diet it can develop nutrient deficiencies.
• keto diets also results in damaging your bone health.
