Fasting has been scientifically proven to prevent and cure many ailments. It's an old world version of the modern day 'cleanse' or 'detox'.
As the festive season is approaching, you need to really look after yourself and keep in mind certain things while fasting . You need to know some DO's and Don'ts for having an effective fast.

4. Keep your mind , body and kitchen prepared . Yes , keeping your kitchen prepared means you should remove all the delicious item that will make you break your fast .
Don'ts
1. You should avoid packaged food because these food items are made of substandard oil which is not healthy for you.
2. Don't forget your sleep , during fasting your body goes under a detox mode and if you don't get enough sleep you'll have to face headaches and pain in your eyes .
3. Avoid overeating, you should able to stop yourself from eating too much during non - fasting hours . It's very necessary to have a balance.
4. Try to break the fast with something small and high in nutrients food items .Do not dive right into a big meal as you are likely to go overboard and take in more than you need.
