This cuisine is strongly influenced by the Turko-Persian cuisine of Central Asia, the land where the early Mughal Emperors hailed . The taste of this cuisine vary from extremely mild to spicy and often give out the aroma of whole ground spices. During the reign of the Mughals, the food cooked was rich, having aromatic spices and dry fruits.
