Brunch

Brunch is a combination of breakfast and lunch. It is usually served any time before 3 o'clock in the afternoon.  

The word is a portmanteau of breakfast and lunch. Brunch originated in England in the late 19th century and became popular in the United States in the 1930s. Generally served from 10 am up to 3 pm. 

Brunch is becoming popular day by day as in the present busy life of people when they have no specific time to eat and sleep brunch created a middle way for them to have their meal according to their convenience. Almost every hotels and restaurants have brunch system especially during the weekends. Mostly people gets holiday during the weekends and likes to get up late in the morning. They are too lazy to get up early in the morning and have a proper breakfast a mid-way between them. They are likely to go out for a brunch which combines both breakfast and dinner.

It is gaining popularity in India too as their lifestyle is changing day by day. It’s somewhere the influence from the west which is slowly adapted by Indians day by day. As long as you are eating healthy. Eating "brunch" is ok, if: – it's a healthy, nutritious meal; – it has plenty of "good" calories to get you through the day until suppertime – It's best not to make a habit of eating at brunch-time. During the weekends is okay to have lunch but making it a daily habit is very unhealthy for our health. Breakfast is considered to be the most important meal of the day and its even called breakfast because we break the fast for almost 8-10 hours after our sleep. Having an empty stomach for a long time will affect our digestive system in many ways.
