ARMY DAY
When we sleep peacefully cuddled in our bed and safe in our
homes, there is someone who are risking their lives so that we are at peace in our
homeland. They are the ones who do not give a second thought in sacrificing
their lives, their families almost everything to protect our motherland and
keep us at peace.
15th January, a historic day celebrated all over
India in respect of General KM Cariappa, who became the first Indian to take
charge of the Indian Army in 1949. He took over this charge from General Sir
Robert Francis Boy Bucher, last English commander of our nation’s army.
It is a day of grand celebration for the entire military team. The parade is held at Parade Ground, Delhi cantonment which showcases various routines
such as aerial stunt and bike pyramids. Bravery awards and Sena Medals are
distributed on this day.
So on this day and every day let us salute the true heroes of
our motherland for their selfless service towards mankind in true spirit!!
