14th February 2020
We
all know 14th February is celebrated as Valentine Day worldwide;
however, this day also has some historical black mark for India.
Today
i.e., 14th February 2020 completes one year of Pulwama attack. On 14th
February 2019 at about 3 pm in the afternoon a group of the terrorist with a vehicle
carrying explosives, plunged into a CRPF convoy in Lethpora in the Pulwama
district of Jammu Kashmir causing a blast.
We
lost a good number of CRPF soldiers in a convoy which was on target by a suicide
bomber of the terrorist group backed by our enemy. This led to great unrest and
tension on both sides when a fleet of around 78 buses carrying about 2,500 CRPF
soldiers traveling from Jammu and Kashmir came under attack.
Such
a deadly blow led to nationwide protest asking for a fitting reply in the rage of
losing our national hero’s. With the full support of our Prime Minister Shri
Narendra Modiji whose words were, tears will be
avenged. The decision is left as to how the armed forces would be retaliating
against the enemy as they have been given full freedom to decide the place,
time, intensity and nature of the attack. Several nations condemned this inhumane act and extended their
support to India to fight back against terrorism.
The magical words of our
honorable Prime Minister worked and on the wee hours of 26th
February, the Indian Air Force bombed the biggest training terrorist camp in Balakot.
On 27th February Indian Armed Forces thwarted enemy air force
attempt to strike on a military installation in Jammu and Kashmir and in an
aerial clash Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman shot down an advanced enemy
plane in doing so his aircraft was hit and his parachute landed in enemy
occupied territory, where he was taken as a captive. However, due to the international pressure, they had to release Abhinandan, who came back to his homeland to a
hero’s welcome.
